.NET Domains

When the .NET generic domain was initially introduced in 1985, along with the first domain name extensions on the web, it was intended to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure companies. Since there were no special terms about the usage of the top-level domain, though, dot NET domains were purchased and used for different purposes and by a lot of people. This TLD represents a wonderful alternative to dot COM, especially if the necessary domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.

You can easily change the WHOIS info of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you don’t want this info to be visible at all, you can purchase a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to obtain your real contact information.

The .NET domain extension supports internationalized names, so you can choose whether you want to target a specific country or territory using a domain name in the local language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
